191 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Defence when he intends to introduce the Gleeson recommendation that officers be advised of the key content of their annual confidential report; and if he will direct that the military authorities should give immediate effect to this with regard to FCÁ officers.

Officers of the Permanent Defence Force are allowed to see the principal sections of their annual confidential reports — rating, recommendation for promotion and recommendation for overseas service. Arrangements to apprise officers of An Forsa Cosanta Áitiúil of matters in their confidential reports are under consideration and will be introduced as soon a possible.
