34 Mr. Moynihan asked the Minister for the Marine whether his Department have any proposals for the removal of the wreck lying on the shore at Kilmachalaygue, Kenmare, County Kerry.

The removal of a wrecked ship from the foreshore or elsewhere is a matter in the first instance for the owner(s). I have no powers to remove this wreck. I consider this situation unsatisfactory and I am having the matter examined.
