241 Dr. Lee asked the Minister for Education the cost to his Department for repeat fees for 1992.

I take it the Deputy is referring to the examination entry fees payable by candidates who remain at school in order to repeat the leaving certificate examination. As entry fees are still being collected by my Department, it is too early to give the precise information requested by the Deputy. It is, however, estimated that about £500,000 in entry fees will be received in respect of repeat candidates in 1992.
