116 Tomás Mac Giolla asked the Minister for Education if, having regard to the reply to Parliamentary Questions Nos. 167 and 168 of 4 February 1992, (a) he will outline when he anticipates the details of class sizes in national schools, based on September 1991 enrolments, will be available, (b) whether his attention has been drawn to the fact that similar information was available at this time in previous years and (c) if he will make a statement on the reason for the delay.

I anticipate that provisional figures will be available in approximately three months in relation to class sizes in national schools based on September 1991 enrolments.

The information requested by the Deputy cannot be compiled by my Department until all annual returns have been submitted by boards of management.
