238 Mr. Wyse asked the Minister for Health the total number and percentage of population currently covered by medical cards in respect of, (a) County Kerry, (b) Cork city and (c) Cork county.

Figures on the numbers of persons covered by medical cards are collated by the General Medical Services (Payments) Board on a quarterly basis. The latest figures available (i.e. as at 31/12/91) are as follows:
