49 Mr. Kavanagh asked the Minister for the Environment when he proposes to publish the drink/driving legislation which he promised at the launch of safety on the roads; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The text of a new Road Traffic Bill to deal with a number of issues, including issues relating to drink driving, is currently being finalised and I hope to have the Bill published in the present Dáil session.
