An environmental impact statement in respect of the treatment plant for this scheme has been prepared by Wexford Corporation and is currently being assessed in my Department. Without prejudice to this assessment, an advance section of the sewer network contract has been completed at an estimated cost of £733,000 and tenders for other parts of the sewer network are under consideration in my Department.
