99 Mr. Bree asked the Minister for Justice the number of bar extensions with supper provided which were granted by the courts in County Donegal for each of the months of November and December 1996 and January 1997. [4118/97]

There are two District Court clerkships in County Donegal viz. Donegal and Letterkenny and I have set out the position in relation to each in the following table. As the Deputy will be aware, it is a statutory requirement that a substantial meal would be served in most cases where a special exemption has been granted.
