Michael Noonan Minister for Health (Mr. Noonan, Fine Gael

Limerick East): I propose to take Questions Nos. 114 and 115 together.

The information sought by the Deputy is set out in the following tables. It is important to note that the payments shown are gross payments from which practice expenses and overheads have to be met by the contractor i.e. doctor or pharmacist. In addition, these payments are subject to a deduction of 27 per cent withholding tax.

Fees paid to Pharmacists in County Donegal by the General Medical Services (Payments) Board in 1996.
