188 Mr. E. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for Education when national lottery funds approved to a club (details supplied) in County Cork on 28 February 1997 will be paid; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [12560/97]

I can confirm that my Department has received an application for funding under the sports capital programme. The application is one of over 1,200 applications on hand seeking funding under the programme.

To date no grant allocation has been made to the organisation referred to by the Deputy. However, I expect that decisions on grant allocations will be made shortly.
