20 Mr. Clohessy asked the Minister for the Environment the consultation, if any, he has had with local authorities in respect of the enforcement of the recently enacted Litter Pollution Act 1997; the number of litter wardens currently employed in each local authority area; the new measures, if any, which local authorities have indicated they propose to take in respect of enforcement of this law; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
