93 Mr. B. Smith asked the Minister for Education if arrangements will be made for the placement of a child (details supplied) in County Cavan as referred to in Deputy B. Smith's representations of 25 April 1997; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [13080/97]

The child in question has been offered a place at the Holy Family special school, Cootehill, County Cavan. My Department is investigating the possibility of extending the current transport service to the school to accommodate this child. If this is not possible, a transport grant will be sanctioned to defray the costs of any private transport arrangements.
