145 Mr. M. Brennan asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a new installation aid scheme for young farmers will be introduced. [14064/98]

The terms of a revised scheme of installation aid are currently being finalised within my Department. The scheme will come into operation when it is approved by the Department of Finance and EU Commission. I will be endeavouring to secure the necessary approvals as early as possible.
