198 Mrs. T. Ahearn asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government if grants are available for replacing an asbestos roof at a community hall (details supplied) in County Tipperary; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [14598/00]

I refer the Deputy to my reply to Question No. 237 on 16 May 2000.

Grants will be available under the conservation sub-measure for restoration works, including necessary works to roofs, to conserve publicly owned properties which are deemed to be of significant architectural or heritage value.
