Priority question ruling and notification

Summary

Mr. Ring challenged the ruling that his priority question was out of order and said he had not been notified; the Ceann Comhairle rejected this as a point of order and directed him to the normal procedure.

On a point of order, I tabled a priority question this week and was disappointed with the Ceann Comhairle's office when it was ruled out of order.

It is a point of order. Why was I not notified about it?

It is not a point of order. If the Deputy has a question, the normal procedure is to go to the office. However, it is not a point of order.
