Síle de Valera Minister for Arts, Heritage, Gaeltacht and the Islands (Miss de Valera) Fianna Fáil

The Deputy will be aware that my Department provides grants to numerous individuals and bodies, particularly in the context of schemes relating to Gaeltacht areas. It would not be possible to prepare a detailed breakdown of this expenditure, as requested by the Deputy, in the time available. However, I have arranged for my Department to collate these details, and they will be forwarded to the Deputy shortly.

In relation to the allocation of grants administered by the independent bodies under the aegis of my Department, details of such activities and expenditure can be found in the annual reports and accounts published by these bodies. I have no function in these matters.
