643 Mr. A. Reynolds asked the Minister for Education and Science when he will make a decision on the retention of Newtownforbes secondary school under a board of trustees or under Departmental ownership. [11817/01]

I am currently examining the proposal submitted by the local retention committee for the continued recognition of a post-primary school in Newtownforbes.

My Department will contact the relevant parties as soon as the case has been considered fully.
