Frank Fahey Minister for the Marine and Natural Resources (Mr. Fahey) Fianna Fáil

Responsibility for coastal protection rests with the property owner whether it be a local authority or a private individual. It is a matter for local authorities to submit proposals to my Department for consideration under the coastal protection programme. My Department has not received a submission from Louth County Council in relation to the amenity in question.
