John O'Donoghue Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform (Mr. O'Donoghue) Fianna Fáil

The Reception and Integration Agency operates under the aegis of my Department. It is responsible, inter alia, for meeting the accommodation needs of asylum seekers under the system of dispersal and direct provision which was introduced in April 2000.

The RIA has no plans to provide accommodation for asylum seekers at Riversdale House, Palmerstown, Dublin 20.
