126 Mr. Enright asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government when he will sanction the disabled person's housing grant to be paid to local authorities so that they can approve these necessary works. [12792/02]

Local authorities receive a total combined annual capital allocation from my Department in respect of the disabled person's grant scheme, the essential repairs grant scheme and house purchase and improvement loans. The 2002 capital allocation will be announced shortly.
