Liz O'Donnell Ms O’Donnell Question Progressive Democrats

489 Ms O’Donnell asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the number of child abuse cases in each of the past five years in respect of which a prohibition against prosecution was sought by the accused on the grounds of prejudicial defence due to a delay in prosecuting the offences; the number of such cases which were successful in the first instance; if the State appealed to the Supreme Court; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
