465 Mr. Sherlock asked the Minister for Education and Science if a school (details supplied) in County Cork is currently being considered for funding for a general purpose area under the capital programme as per its application of 2003. [8411/07]

The school referred to by the Deputy has an application with my Department for major capital funding for a PE Hall. This project has been assessed in accordance with the published prioritisation criteria for large scale building projects and the delivery of the proposed project will be considered in the context of the Multi-annual School Building and Modernisation Programme.
