208 Deputy Michael Kennedy asked the Minister for Communications, Energy and Natural Resources if his attention has been drawn to the need for Eircom to provide an upgrade in the phone exchange in Rush, County Dublin; if he will relay new cabling in the surrounding areas, particularly in Lusk, County Dublin, in order to provide an improved broadband service in these areas; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The issues of the upgrading of exchanges and the deployment of cabling raised by the Deputy are commercial and operational matters for Eircom and I am therefore not in a position to intervene in this case.
