254 Deputy Pat Breen asked the Minister for Transport, further to Parliamentary Question No. 224 of 25 May 2010, if he will obtain similar information from the Irish Aviation Authority in relation to the precise distance the red zones commence at either end of runway 06/24 at Shannon Airport; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I have been in touch with the Irish Aviation Authority (IAA) in relation to this matter. The IAA has informed me that the Dublin Airport Authority have confirmed that the red zones commence 200 feet from the runway ends for runway 06/24 at Shannon Airport.
