Accident and Emergency Services

250 Deputy James Reilly asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Health and Children if she will provide an update on the former premises of St. Vincent’s Hospital; her plans for this facility and if the former hospital beds, now closed at this unit would be suitable as step-down beds or other type of facility to alleviate the bed shortage and assist with the overcrowded accident and emergency departments at this time of year; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
