Child and family support agency

Summary

Ciara Conway asked when legislation establishing the child and family support agency would be published; the Taoiseach called it a priority and hoped to publish it before year-end.

In light of the "Yes" vote secured in the children's referendum, when will we see legislation establishing the child and family support agency, which will be a landmark for children in this country? When will it be published and when will we have an opportunity to discuss it in this House?

Enda Kenny The Taoiseach Fine Gael

This is a priority and I would like to see it published before the end of the year. I hope that can be achieved, although there is quite a deal with the Parliamentary Counsel. It is a priority for the Minister and it has been raised on a number of occasions.
