Irish Water and Water Services Bill

Summary

Deputy Cowen criticises Irish Water’s conduct while the Water Services Bill is being debated and asks whether the Government supports proper parliamentary consideration. The Ceann Comhairle rules the intervention out of order; the Taoiseach says the Bill is already on Second Stage.

I apologise for interrupting other speakers.

The Water Services Bill is passing through the House this week. Is the Taoiseach happy that Irish Water has shown little appreciation for the passage of that Bill by virtue of the input of Members who may amend that Bill before its conclusion?
