Child protection annual report

Summary

Robert Troy asks when the 2012 child protection rapporteur’s report will be laid before the House. The Taoiseach cannot give a date and says ministerial and Government approval is required first.

The Minister for Children and Youth Affairs confirmed to me by way of a reply to a parliamentary question that she was in receipt of the Government rapporteur 2012 annual report on child protection. When will this report be laid before the House?

Enda Kenny The Taoiseach Fine Gael

I cannot say. The Minister would normally bring that to Government before getting approval to publish it. I will advise him as to when that might happen.
