Agricultural land leasing relief

Seamus Kirk asked the Tánaiste to address an apparent Finance Bill anomaly excluding companies owning agricultural land from proposed leasing relief; the Ceann Comhairle ruled the question out of order.

It is generally accepted that the regeneration of the rural economy will benefit from the expansion and development of the dairy industry post-2015. The targets that have been set out in Harvest 2020 are part and parcel of that. A number of issues have arisen, including for instance, land leasing regulations, although the primary legislation is already in place and is fine. I know that, but it has been pointed out that the incentive does not extend to companies that own agricultural land. Will the Tánaiste encourage the Minister for Finance to look at this anomaly in the legislation?
