Driving licences for emigrant workers

Summary

Michael Healy-Rae asks whether young people working abroad will be able to renew licences without returning home. The Taoiseach says the issue can be considered during the Seanad’s Committee Stage of the Road Traffic Bill.

Young people who are forced to work abroad are finding they have to come home to renew their driving licences, which is wrong. Will this issue be addressed in the Road Traffic (No. 2) Bill?
