Noise nuisance legislation

Summary

Peter Fitzpatrick seeks stronger local-authority powers against neighbour noise; the Taoiseach has no date for the noise nuisance Bill but will provide an update.

Noise nuisance caused by neighbours makes up the vast majority of noise complaints in Ireland. To prevent and reduce such nuisance, it is necessary to extend and improve the powers available to local authorities.
