Correcting inaccurate parliamentary records
Éamon Ó Cuív sought guidance on correcting allegedly inaccurate Government statements on the official record, while the Chair requested written details and repeatedly ruled the intervention out of order. Interjections included an undeveloped reference to the Aran Islands runway before the Chair called the next speaker.
A Cheann Comhairle, in view of the misinformation given by the Taoiseach last week, could you advise me of how a Deputy can ensure factually incorrect information that is given by a member of the Government on the record of the House is corrected on the record of the House?
