Taxi Regulations

541. Deputy Brian Walsh asked the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport his plans to accede to the request of the taxi industry to allow branding currently applied to taxi doors to be replaced by magnetic signage, that may be removed when taxis are not in public use. [19720/15]

Paschal Donohoe Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport Fine Gael

The regulation of the taxi industry, including signage and branding, is a matter for the National Transport Authority (NTA), under the provisions of the Taxi Regulation Act, 2013.

I have referred your question to the NTA for direct reply. Please advise my private office if you do not receive a reply within 10 working days.
