Beit Collection

549. Deputy Anne Ferris asked the Minister for Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht if her attention has been drawn to the fact that the intended beneficiaries of the Alfred Beit Foundation are the citizens of Ireland, and that the trust was established with the charitable objective of education in fine arts, her views regarding the risk that further sale of trust assets could be contrary to achieving the overall public benefit objective of the trust; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
