Taxi Regulations

231. Deputy Derek Nolan asked the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport his views on revising the green vinyl branding that it is obligatory for taxi drivers to display on their vehicles in order to reduce the number of attacks and burglaries on both their vehicles and their homes; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Paschal Donohoe Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport Fine Gael

The regulation of the small public service vehicle (SPSV) industry, including issues related to signage and branding, is a matter for the National Transport Authority (NTA) under the provisions of the Taxi Regulation Act 2013.

I have referred your question to the NTA for direct reply. Please advise my private office if you do not receive a response within 10 working days.
