Deputy Tom Fleming asked the Minister for Health his views on a matter regarding assessments, diagnosis and treatment of autism spectrum disorder, the adoption of the very successful methods of a doctor (details supplied) to address the escalating number of persons with this condition; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The particular issue raised by the Deputy is a service matter for the Health Service Executive. Accordingly I have arranged for the question to be referred to the Health Service Executive for direct reply to the Deputy.
