81. Deputy Noel Harrington asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Social Protection the status of an application by a person (details supplied) in County Cork in November of 2015 for carer's allowance; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [2719/16]

The application for carer’s allowance in respect of the person concerned was awarded on 20 January 2016 and the first payment is due to issue to the person’s nominated post office on 28 January 2016.

Arrears of allowance due from 12 November 2015 to 20 January 2016 have issued to the post office for payment on 28 January 2016. The person concerned was notified of this on 20 January 2016.
