‹ Questions on Promised Legislation

Closing maternity scan remarks

Summary

After the Taoiseach formally concluded questions on promised legislation, Deputy Caoimhghín Ó Caoláin briefly added that all maternity hospitals must have the 20-week scan. The Ceann Comhairle directed him to raise it as a Topical Issue and then ended the item.

I thank the Taoiseach and that concludes the questions on promised legislation.

If I could have ten seconds-----

No. The Deputy cannot ask a second question.

I will be ten seconds. I join Deputy Niamh Smyth who raised this issue in relation to the maternity hospital in Cavan only last week. I want to reiterate the point she made and that was made by colleagues earlier.

Comment on this

The Deputy should put it down for Topical Issues.
