Written Parliamentary Questions for Answer by the Minister for Health: Motion

Summary

Deputy Peter Burke moves to raise the weekly limit on parliamentary questions to the Minister for Health from three to six. The Ceann Comhairle notes this effectively doubles the number that can be tabled.

I move:

That, notwithstanding the Order of the Dáil of 7th May, 2020, and until further notice in the 33rd Dáil, on or after 27th May, 2020, the number of Questions under Standing Order 50(2) for answer by the Minister for Health which may be received by the Clerk of the Dáil from a member shall not exceed six in any one week.

Comment on this

In agreeing to the motion, we are effectively doubling the number of parliamentary questions that can be tabled by a Member to the Department of Health from three to six.
