Sports funding for women and clubs

Summary

The Taoiseach continued on sports funding, saying women's football, camogie, rugby, soccer and clubs would all be supported and that the Government had made the largest sports investment ever. Deputy Kelly pressed whether a future amalgamation would receive extra funding, and the Taoiseach said yes.

-----and to women’s rugby and soccer as well. We will not be found wanting, and nor was the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform, Deputy Michael McGrath, in allocating the largest amount of funding for sports ever. This includes clubs as well, which are important to communities.
