Deputy John Paul Phelan asked the Minister for Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science to detail the studies or reports he consulted in advance of his recent statement criticising single-sex education; and in particular to outline what informed his suggestion that single-sex learning environments contribute to aggression by young men towards women and girls. I made comments regarding single sex schools during the course of an interview and that is my personal opinion, and in the context of being a qualified teacher and parent.
