Deputy Sean Sherlock asked the Minister for Transport if it is proposed to fund the Mallow to Dungarvan greenway from Exchequer funding; to provide an update on monies spent on all aspects of the project to date, and the purposes of monies allocated presently; and his views on the animation of this project. As Minister for Transport, I have responsibility for overall policy and exchequer funding in relation to Greenways. The planning, design, and construction of individual Greenways is a matter for Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII), in conjunction with the local authorities concerned.
