Deputy Patrick Costello asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Defence further to Parliamentary Questions Nos. 202 to 204 of 11 September 2023, if the Defence Forces assessment of the vacant housing stock has been completed; if so, when will this be published; and if he will make a statement on the matter. A consultant was appointed by the Defence Forces in December 2023 in order to carry out this review and my officials have provided observations on an early draft of this report. The final draft is expected within my Department in the coming weeks who will report to me on the proposed course of action.
