Deputy John Paul Phelan asked the Minister for Health to provide an estimate of the total cost to the exchequer of dealing with alcohol-related issues per annum, including, but not limited to, costs incurred by the health service and costs incurred in the course of handling drink driving incidents; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
