Health Services Staff

130. Deputy Martin Browne asked the Minister for Health the status of the community eye clinic at Community Care West Road, Clonmel, in light of a recent retirement; the pre-emptive measures taken to ensure that retirement did not result in an unfilled post; the measures that are being taken to fill that vacancy; when such a vacancy will be filled; if measures are being put in place to address unmet demand; and if he will make a statement on the matter. As this is a service matter, I have asked the Health Service Executive to respond to the Deputy directly, as soon as possible.
