Dara Calleary Minister for Social Protection Fianna Fáil

The person concerned applied for State pension (contributory) on 22 July 2025. Confirmation of their modified social insurance contribution record was received from the Department of Education on 24 November 2025.

The person concerned was also awarded Long Term Carers Contributions which can be included in the calculation of state pension contributory from 1 January 2024. The state pension contributory was awarded on 4 December 2025 at the current weekly rate of €246.30 plus the increase for Living alone of €22.00. This pension was awarded with effect from 1 January 2024. Arrears due will be paid on 12 December 2025.

I hope this clarifies the position for the Deputy.
