Through the support of the Commemorations Unit of my Department, I am very pleased to have provided additional resources to the National Museum of Ireland to facilitate this exhibition including the timely display of the Catalpa flag and look forward to viewing it myself in the coming weeks.

This exhibition will focus on this important historical item and will include informational panels developed by Museum curatorial staff providing context and background. The material included in this exhibition is a matter for the National Museum of Ireland.

The James Wilson letters are part of the John Devoy Collection in the National Library of Ireland. The Library is currently working with Kildare County Council on a digital display using material from the John Devoy Collection that will be exhibited later in the year in Kildare.

Highlights from the John Devoy Collection have also been made available online through the National Library website and have been accessed by local and global audiences. Making material available online to wider audiences and preserving the original documentation is the favoured approach. to exhibiting material by the National Library of Ireland.
