Deputy Alan Kelly asked the Minister for Rural and Community Development and the Gaeltacht the percentage of the capital and current funding allocated to the Department that has been spent in the first four months of 2026; and if he will provide the same figures for the period of 2024 and 2025, in tabular form. The information requested by the Deputy is detailed in the table below. My Department has a strong track record of fully utilising its allocations. The Department profiles expenditure at the start of each year and while current expenditure is relatively consistent throughout the year, capital expenditure is stronger towards year end as approved projects are completed and claims made and processed. Allocated funding is carefully managed throughout the year so as to ensure it is put to best use.
