Decisions made by, or on behalf of, the Department of Education and Youth regarding the provision of school transport services and/or grant-aid under the terms of the School Transport Schemes may be appealed to the School Transport Appeals Board at www.schooltransportappeals.ie.

The family, to whom the Deputy refers to, have submitted an appeal the School Transport Appeals Board.

The School Transport Appeals Board (the Board) have requested a report from School Transport Section of my Department. When this report is available the family will receive a copy of the report along with the date the appeal will be considered by the Board (via e-mail).

At that stage the family will be given the opportunity to include any further information that they feel would be relevant to the appeal before it is considered by the Board.

The Board is independent of my Department and the Board will liaise directly with the family regarding the appeal outcome when it has been considered by them.
