109. Deputy Eamon Scanlon asked the Minister for Education and Youth the position regarding plans for additional accommodation at a post-primary school (details supplied); and if she will make a statement on the matter. [40784/26]

The school referred to by the Deputy was approved to enter the departments pipeline of school buildings for a project to provide one mainstream classroom. This project was devolved to the Mayo, Sligo, and Leitrim Education and Training Board for delivery.

I can confirm that approval to proceed to construction was granted in August 2024. The project is currently on site and is expected to reach completion for the commencement of the new school year.
